This whole piece was one quote after another than I just want to plaster on walls! People like him, who understand what truly matters are what make places special

As a supplier of bespoke guest amenity products in hospitality this resonates deeply. We craft and blend signature scents based on the desired sensory experience of the customer, attention to detail matters with how you make a guest feel and what it evokes in them during their stay and what they take away - scent is often considered somewhat ethereal however it triggers an emotive response always that’s why it matters. Loved this, thank you.

The interview I’ve been waiting for and it did not disappoint!

“Amenities are the memorabilia, and when they are done well they become marketing tools as much as products.” 🎯

Also - his daughter being obsessed with skincare… I think beauty and wellness will come to replace/take up space in minibars in hotels. I don’t care for alcohol, necessarily, I want to look and feel better after my flight.

Such a great interview! The commentary around how the pandemic shaped both guest experiences and guest expectations was so insightful - a refreshing take!

🙌 “Craftsmanship isn't going anywhere, and I think we are fortunate to operate in hospitality, because Al is not going to replace the experience of being in a place, or the people who create it.” 🙌

The piece on amenities really resonates with me - not sure why hotels don't realize that these trinkets; big or small can create meaningful memories and loyal guests.

The toilet paper origin is the whole interview. His father said yes to a phone call he could have forwarded, and thirty years later they built a Toilet Paper room at a hotel in New York. That's what happens when you don't pass the call.

I don’t know if it’s the “whole interview” as tommaso had the foresight to expand into global luxury
