Hi everyone,

Happy Friday. Thank you as always for the feedback on the podcast. This week, I published the August episode with Eugene Remm, co-founder of Catch Hospitality Group. In this episode, we dug into the details of building venues from scratch, the difference between operating nightclubs vs large format restaurants vs small restaurants in NYC. I hope you enjoy the episode and get a lot of value from the conversation. Listen here.

In today’s newsletter: my take on Soho House, fashion deal flow, the trendy business model in real estate, is Ibiza done?, another nightlife impresario is opening a wellness club, and more…

This week, San Vicente West Village was featured in AD. Rose Uniacke, a London-based AD100 interior designer, decorated the club with her signature contemporary homey, elegant yet lived in style. Her interiors look like they belong inside a beautiful Georgian townhouse on a tony street in London - very chic. Notably, this was her first hospitality project in the US.

  • The $2.7B Soho House take private deal has been in the making for quite some time, but the announcement of the buyer was more surprising than the news itself. Read below for my commentary (and no, it’s not another brand analysis that regurgitates my 2023 content ;))
