Today’s guest is David Fischer, who founded Highsnobiety in 2005 as a one-man operation in Switzerland. He began covering streetwear long before it became mainstream, and Highsnobiety became known as a pioneer in bringing together luxury and streetwear. Fast forward to now, Highsnobiety is a leading global lifestyle media platform uniquely combining content and commerce that has worked with the world’s most prominent brands, from Prada to Adidas.

In June 2022, Zalando acquired a majority stake in Highsnobiety, leading a push into content-driven commerce. David shared his experience starting from 0 to becoming an institutional media player, and several insights into consumer behavior that are valuable to anyone building in the consumer space.
